I had a major surgery 7 days ago. I have never had surgery before or been in the hospital for a stay before. Gods peace was so strong throughout the whole process and I am thankful. Holy Spirit has comforted me at all times and I am healing in Jesus name. I am able to walk, sit up, take a shower, go to the bathroom and breath. God is so faithful .
My mom came to help care for me after my surgery and has been such a great help. I initially declined certain things but then realized that I needed help. It has been nice having her here. You don’t realize you need help putting on socks until you cannot bend over to do it yourself. My sister has also been a great help and I appreciate them both. I got a raised toilet seat, body pillow, bed stand, and more. I pray Gods blessings and favor over them and my family . Everyone came together to check on me and help. I realized that it was not the easiest for me to accept help but God let me know that he sends help where needed and I never what to reject what God has placed in my life.
“I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” Psalms 121:1-8 NLT
Going through new experiences can be scary but allowing God to walk you though it brings victory. I know that after this surgery that I will be stronger and that my body will be ready for what is next in my life. I am feeling better daily and that is all glory to God. It’s all working together for my good.
In what ways can you accept help today?
