Most recently, I went with a group and had a great time to the Bahamas. I had a lot of firsts on this trip. I snorkeled for the first time!!!! I was on a catamaran for the first time!!!! I had snapper for the first time!!! I explored the island in a different way for the first time!!! I had a lot of first experiences in this trip and I am thankful.
One thing that I always remember to do is pray. I love to pray in the middle of the ocean. I respect the power that I am surrounded by and take in the beauty of what God created in the beginning of the earth.
I think about the days of Noah when the earth was covered with water.
“That very day Noah had gone into the boat with his wife and his sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—and their wives. With them in the boat were pairs of every kind of animal—domestic and wild, large and small—along with birds of every kind. Two by two they came into the boat, representing every living thing that breathes. A male and female of each kind entered, just as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord closed the door behind them. For forty days the floodwaters grew deeper, covering the ground and lifting the boat high above the earth.” Genesis 7:13-17 NLT
God allows for us to partake in things like the ocean while protecting and hiding the cruise ship. We are so blessed that the seas are calmed and we are able to enjoy it with our firsts. The ocean is so powerful and has made a great impact in our lives. Think about all the water 💦 around and under you when on the ship. Think about all the things that are living in the ocean. Many times, we must venture into the unknown in order to discover what you are capable of.
What next adventure will cause you to do a first?
