I recently went on a trip with my best friend and while there, we visited a national rainforest that was filled with beautiful views, trails, and waterfalls. While walking into one of the paths, we were friendly with a group of people and offered to take their picture. After the picture was taken, we were told to go down a different path to find a secluded waterfall that was not populated. We were told what the entrance looked like and that although there were trees and barriers up, that once we got through everything that a beautiful site was waiting for us. We prayed and went on an adventure. I was very hesitant when I saw the mud , trees, rocks, and barriers that awaited us and delayed as much as I could but my best friend was ready to go and led the way.
2 Chronicles 15:7 NLT tells us, “But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.”
We are commanded to be strong and have courage through everything that we go through. As I climbed, crawled, and fell through the rain forest, I knew that I had to keep going and follow the path that my friend made. When we got through the forest, we discovered the most beautiful waterfall; we received our reward. We were safe and got to experience one of Gods grand creations. God has hidden treasures for each of us and we have the opportunity to experience them when we take action with courage.
How can you be courageous today?
