You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Psalm 73:24
When I went to wake him up, he did not have the best response and was not ready. I gave him some time, prayed, and let him know that we were going to have a great day in Jesus name. We got up, walked the dog (shadow 😊) and just talked. I listened to him as he spoke about what he wanted to be when he grew up and about the day ahead. We had a great walk and shadow only barked at 2 people 😊 (lol). When we go back, I was prompted to turn on gospel music with one of our local radio stations, Z88.3. As I turned on the music I reminded him of what was needed to get ready. This station currently has a fundraiser and is asking the community to contribute. He said that he would like to give money to the radio station. I told him that once he got ready that I would let him call the radio station to give. We got ready, ate breakfast, and then it was time to go and he reminded me to call. I called the number and let him speak when it was answered. He was really quiet and polite. We gave our names and said that it was ok to share on the radio. He was so excited to give. When it was time to leave for school, he got his shoes and went straight to the car so that he could hear himself or his name on the radio. As we drove to his school, we heard of others who gave and I let him know that if he didn’t hear anything that I would listen out and let him know afterschool if they said his name. We had a slight delay as we were in the car-line and he asked for me to turn up the radio so that he can hear. His expectation never failed even when it was time to get his bag ready to get out of the car. As we pulled up to have him let out at the front of the school, Ms. Tyler, said “Thank you sweet Xavier… for your donation. His whole body lit up with excitement and he was so happy that his donation was recognized. I got so excited just seeing him respond.
God is always on time.
God was ever present in our morning and is every day. I expected to have a great morning and trusted this as I declared it.
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning, I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3
Just how my nephew, ran to the car and asked to turn the radio up in expectation, I want to live my life like this daily in knowing that God will always show out. God loves us and reminds us that he hears us and is with us in many different ways. God knew that my elementary age, nephew needed to see the result of his seed and just at the right time, HE showed. I shared this event with my family and they were all so happy. My sister even replied that my nephew listens to the radio station at night before going to sleep.
We were able to help the radio station in a different way today and are excited and willing to take action in other ways. There are many things that I am in expectation of and I choose to keep my trust in the lord while I wait.
What is one thing that you can try today to help/ encourage someone?
