What do you need? We all want a lot of things in this world, but sit down and think about the things that are provided for your life.
That extra $20 that is found in your jean pocket when you are down to your last $1. That extra deposit that you get that you forgot that you were owed when you have no food, or that blessing that you receive from a friend when you go out to eat and they pick up the bill. I recognize all of this as God’s provision.
Philippians 4:19 reads, “And my God shall supply all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
God takes care of us!!!
I had a full weekend of conference event, church, and mother’s day. I am grateful for every experience that God allows me to have, even when they are uncomfortable. I may not realize it at the time but God is always making provisions in different ways of my life.
For example, over the weekend, I was gone all day from my house and when I returned, it was kind of warm in the house but I did not think much of it. The next day, I got a call that the air conditioning was not working in the house. Ok, ok, I admit that it has been a while since I changed the filter, so I went to buy a new one, changed it and reset the air conditioner to see if this would work. It did not!!! ( insert fire emoji) I live in Florida (need I say more…) I had to make the decision to call a professional after searches on YouTube for a possible answer did not bring me results. The repair person came and fixed it for A LOT of money. Once I heard the price, I considered if I really needed the air conditioner fixed…but again…I live in Florida. I share this with you to let you know that God provides even when we are going through uncomfortable situations. Each day that I did not have air conditioning, it rained and it was cool outside and cooler than it normally would have been inside without the air. God also recently gave me funds that I had in my account that I thought would be for a trip, NO, now I know it was for the air conditioning. I am glad that God knows everything before I do and I trust that he will always provide in different ways that I need, even when it’s a helping hand.
Jehovah-Jireh, my provider!! No matter how big or small, God SHALL supply all your needs.
I am thankful because God is faithful.
How do you notice that God has provided for you? Write them down and give thanks in prayer.
