Often we go to job where we are not excited, work to do a task for the advancement of a company, wait for it to end at 5pm, wait for the weekend, and then repeat. We were made to fly!!! I like the song from Casting Crowns. Some of the lyrics for the “Thrive” song include: ……

Than ordinary lives

I also just realized that they are saying thrive instead of fly… (LOL… I make up my own words to songs 🎶😂😜😇 LOL 😂…. I like my version…LOL….anyways)

I want everyone to realize that the most important thing in the world to focus on is God. God has placed us on earth for a purpose and he wants us to live out our desires that are from him. God wants us to thrive and be victorious. God has given each of us gifts and he wants us to display them in this world for his glory. God does not want us to squander our talents. It is important to write down a plan and have goals that are specific so that we know step by step in what to do.
13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[a] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:13-14
In the small group at my church I highlighted short term goals and long term goals. I asked the participants to write down what is a short term goal that they have to complete by the end of this year. It’s important to write it down in your journals and pray over them. I gave the example eating right or working out. For example, you first have to decide that you want to lose 10lbs by January 1. The plan should include a workout routine several times a week and an adjustment in your diet and daily activities in order to accomplish you goal. Setting the habit of choosing fruits and veggies, over processed foods help to establish a life change that will help you accomplish you goal.
Studies show that people are more successful with their ideas becoming a reality when they have goals and are even more successful when they write down their goals and have a plan.
DO NOT let fear or inadequacy determine your moves. DO NOT let inaction and bad habits leave you in a place of regret and sadness. It is easy to not start something because you don’t think that it is the right time, but this is not the right way of thinking. Start one day, one task at a time and you will find yourself further along than you would have been with just an idea.
