I want it now!!!
Do you remember that spoiled little girl in the ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ movie? What was her name? Varuuka something… idk 🤷🏾♀️ but I remember that she was just a selfish brat!!! I liked Charlie because he was a nice little boy who put his family above his own happiness without expectation. SPOILER ALERT 🚨 🚨 He was rewarded with the grandness prize that was waaaay beyond his expectation when he was humble.
Woah.. as I’m writing this, the Holy Spirit is showing me how this story is biblical and teaches us how selfishness can bring harm /destruction and humility/love is the best posture and brings abundance beyond our imagination
“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:3-11 NLT
God wants us to remember that it’s not all about us and Jesus served as I great example Of love sacrifice and humility. While God does grant the desires of our hearts for those who love him, our desires should be HIS. Thinking of others and taking action is very important in this life.
How can you show humility in your daily interactions?
