Keeping it “real” is not a license to be rude. (Now that I have gotten that out of the way…..)
Have you ever been in a situation where someone says something out of anger towards you and the Holy Spirit guides you to be quiet 🤐, to not respond negatively, to not react. Woooo saaaahhhh!!!! (Lol) 😜 I have been having those moments recently. I have had what I initially considered, couple of “bad days” recently and this has not brought about the best feelings. I would hear comments from others about there perception of me and felt attacked and would withdraw and start to act differently.
BUT…………..I had to recognize.
They were just moments and not the reality of who I am. God says who I am and I believe HIM. In growing closer to God daily, I now go to HIM first and use the wisdom that he has given me. I am thankful for the Holy Spirit for his guidance. I speak with God and declare the truths that he has presented for my life. I realize that it is a growing moment. A coin does not change value because of what it’s been through or what people “think”. ( there are two dimes in the photo above)
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:2-4 NLT
In being obedient and asking God to help me view situations from a perspective of growth, I am able to have faith that is strengthened. God allowed me to have the choice to worship at my church this week and it was awesome. Every song that we sang was a reminder from God that he is with me, that he is the way maker and miracle worker. Songs that reminded me that God knows my name and calls me. I chose to praise God though trails.
“A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.”
Luke 6:45 NLT
I receive this Lord. I won’t let the outside change who God made and planned for me to be. My fruits are to reflect what’s in my heart no matter what environment I am in. I will not let the things of the world 🌎 change who God made me to be. I want to produce good fruit always.
I encourage you to listen to who God says that you are.
What changes can you make in order to maintain who God called you to be?
