Have you ever had regrets about not doing something?
Of course, everyone has, but as I have grown, I have learned that everything is a lesson. We should not dwell on what could have happened but learn from every situation.
For example, I can remember in the past that God had me in the mall where a contest was going on and the holy spirit told me to approach a group of people but I did not, and now I sometimes think back to that group of people, as I believe that they were the ones who were with the contest that the radio was talking about. I missed out on a prize because of my inaction.
“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”Philippians 3:13-14 NLT
I realize that God needs me to move, not just for my benefit but for all those who I come into contact with and it is all for our good. God is able to use us for his glory when we listen and take action. I now choose to take action instead of thinking “what if”. I along with others have been blessed by texting and calling others when prompted By the Holy Spirit, in knowing that the person needed God’s tangible confirmation. I have been given opportunities to lead others in different capacities because I chose to do something not knowing what the result would be.
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28 NLT
I trust in God’s plan and not my own. I am learning to not regret and to take a step and God will do the rest.
What regret are you going to release today?
