My goal with the Virtuous Visions is to help others identify their goals and visions which will lead to action and accomplishments. We all have separate gifts that only we can accomplish and it is important to know this. I often hear: I want to start a business; I want to lead a group; I want to buy a house. My question is, how? In order to accomplish anything, it is important to have a plan. A person with a goal should always have a vision and should write down the plan to reach their goal so that they don’t forget what to do. Creating vision boards has been a great way to ensure that my goals and visions are organized, clear, and visible. God gives us desires and has plans for our lives. The plans that he gives us should be written down as a blueprint of what is to come.
“And the Lord answered me, and said, “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” —King James Bible
Write it down and make it plain. I’ve heard this phrase so many times growing up but I never really understood what it really meant until I grew up and had a real relationship with the Lord.
Habakkuk 2:1-3 reads, “And the Lord answered me, and said, “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” —King James Bible.
Think about it, the vision is for a future time. It describes the end. Wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
Here is a great analogy
Ok, think of it like this; when opening a new box of furniture from IKEA with a whole bunch of different pieces for a table, there are instructions in it, right; and it is smart to look at the instructions so that you know what to do with all the pieces so that you are successful in building that table. Each piece has a specific place and is an important step to keep that table strong and complete. Life is the same way. The bible teaches us how to live, and reading it every day gives us instruction on how to be successful and victorious. I have been journaling for several years and love to reflect on what I was thinking in the past and how much accomplishments I have met in different visions because of the plan that was attached to it. I realized that I had to take action toward my goals. It’s time for everyone to take action.
