Wow … how did you do that???
Have you ever asked yourself this question?
As I have intentionally spent more time listening to God’s voice and the directions of the Holy Spirit, I find that acting on the prompts of the Holy Spirit is becoming easier. My actions may include communicating with another person and they usually let me know that they needed a word or that they received confirmation in what they have been experiencing. Other times my action may include going somewhere at a certain time and seeing someone that I do not normally see and being able to speak with them. I ask for wisdom when I am speaking with others because I want to shine God’s light in all of my interactions.
“When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” Luke 12:11-12
The Holy Spirit works all around in my life. I often do presentations for work and interact a lot with the community. God has led me to make many certain decisions that I would not have normally made if HE was not in my life. I appreciate this. I am blessed to take action in what some would call a “gut feeling”. I know that its the Holy Spirit.
God is always working with me and surprises me all the time. For example, I was at work the other day and went for a walk with my co-worker. As we walked, we made plans to go out to lunch. We passed by other workers and I asked about what they had for lunch. The Holy Spirit l just promoted me to ask…. annnnddddd…. it was one of my favorites!!!! I made a quick turn to the cafeteria where the cooks were cleaning up. We smiled and said hello and don’t you know that the cook had two plates left full of yummy goodness!!! We did not have to leave work or pay for anything! God is great!! Now, this may seem like a coincidence to some but I know that I have been growing in speaking when prompted and I will continue to follow direction as led and I am excited to continue to allow the Holy Spirit to lead me every step on the path that God has for my life.
What has the Holy Spirit prompted you to do today?
